Over the weekend of May 20th, a contractor installed a new 493-ton Seasons 4 roof top unit in place of an existing old Tempmaster unit. The new RTU was designed for exact alignment with the existing unit’s footprint.
The Seasons 4 unit alignment accounted for all of the old unit’s gas, chilled water, electric power, and control feeds, thereby eliminating the need for additional field piping or wiring.
The unit arrived onsite Friday night, May 19th, and was completely installed and commissioned by Sunday the 21st. The two-day timeline allowed for no impact to building tenants in the 200,000-square-foot building. The unit has 493 tons in chilled water cooling capacity, 4,000 MBH in gas heating capacity, and is capable of supplying 113,000 CFM of conditioned air. The total RTU weight is 65,000 lbs.
